Super Tuscan wines are a category of red wines originating from Tuscany, Italy. This term was coined in the 1970s to describe wines that do not follow traditional production rules, are characterized by their high quality and are often produced in limited quantities, which contributes to their exclusivity and prestige.
Although they do not always fall under the appellations of controlled origin (DOC) or controlled and guaranteed origin (DOCG), many of these wines have gained international recognition and are highly regarded by critics and consumers alike. In general, Supertuscans are recognized for their complexity, depth and aging ability, which makes them highly sought after among wine enthusiasts.

This is an unforgettable experience, ideal for those who love great Tuscan wines and want to enjoy them in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, the tasting takes place inside a wine cellar in the center of Florence, in the picturesque neighborhood of San Lorenzo.
During the sensory tasting, which will last 1 hour and 15 minutes, participants, under the guidance of a professional sommelier from FISAR, will take a journey through the world of wine from ancient times to the present day. There will be a presentation of the products to be tasted and their respective wineries, winemaking methods and particularities. Then the tasting itself will begin, which includes 3 phases: visual analysis, olfactory analysis and taste analysis. This method is used to learn to perceive the organoleptic characteristics of each wine. And it is through these analyses that we learn to recognize the smells, aromas and flavors of a wine.
And at the end of the tasting, participants learned the basic principles of pairing wine and food.
