Chianti Classico is one of the most famous and historic Italian Designations of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (DOCG), located in the Tuscany region between the cities of Florence and Siena. The main grape variety used to produce this wine is Sangiovese, which must constitute at least 80% of the blend. Chianti Classico has a long history dating back to the Middle Ages. The appellation was officially recognized in 1716, and the symbol of the Black Rooster (Gallo Nero) became the distinctive mark of the production area. Chianti Classico represents not only a high-quality wine, but also a cultural and scenic heritage of Tuscany. It is a symbol of the Italian winemaking tradition and continues to be appreciated throughout the world for its excellence and versatility.

An unforgettable experience, ideal for those who love great Tuscan wines and want to taste them in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere: the tasting takes place inside a wine shop in the center of Florence, in the picturesque neighborhood of San Lorenzo.
During the sensory tasting, lasting 1:15 minutes, the participants, under the guidance of a professional FISAR sommelier, will take a journey into the world of wine from ancient times to the present day. The products being tasted and their respective cellars, the winemaking method and the particularities will be presented. And then the actual tasting will begin, which includes 3 phases; visual analysis, olfactory analysis, gustatory analysis. This method is used to learn to perceive the organoleptic characteristics of each wine. And it is through these analyses that we learn to recognize the smells, aromas and flavours of a wine.
